My Golf's been acting up and I'm losing patience with mechanics

Has anyone else dealt with a similar misfire issue and found a garage that actually sorted it out without bankrupting them? Really hoping someone can point me in the right direction because I’m honestly at that point where I’m considering just selling it and getting something boring and reliable instead.
